Justice, profit, pleasure, salvation -
About them what is here, you shall find elsewhere;
But what is not here, is nowhere.  Mbh.1.56.34

Two logs floating upon the sea -
Oft’ are brought together and separated by the currents.
Similarly fleeting is the meeting of mortals adrift on this boundless ocean of life. Mbh.12.28.36

But the mind is fickle, O Krishna,
Reckless and obstinate.
One might sooner tame the wind. BG. 6.34

Undoubtedly, Strong-armed one, 
Difficult is the restraining of the restless mind
But practice, O Son of Kunti, and detachment shall guide you to success. BG. 6.35

Be slain in battle and you shall rise to the heavens,
Or be victorious and undying glory shall be yours.
Therefore, arise, O Son of Kunti, and fight with an unwavering mind! BG. 2.37

I do not desire this victory, Krishna,
Nor the kingdom, nor the happiness it shall bring.
For what use, Govind, are riches, pleasures, life itself 
If the ones I want them for are all here,
Ready to gamble their lives away for wealth? BG 1.32

            - “Day after day the abode of Yama welcomes countless 
And yet all men think themselves immortal.
What can be more astonishing?” Yksh. 95-7

Thus, knowledge - most secret- has been revealed to you,
Ponder upon it fully, and

Where there is Krishna, the master yogi, and Arjun, the wielder of the bow
There is victory, prosperity and peace. BG 18.78
